Audio Highlights – March 2022

In March, I had the privilege of being the lead-producer on Lilith Fair Tribute Channel.

Before starting on this channel – I had never heard of the festival, but knew most of the acts involved in the groundbreaking statement from incredible women who really pushed things forward.

For those like me, who I guess were quite ignorant, this best explains the premis and history behind it:

Lilith Fair was a concert tour and travelling music festival, founded by Canadian musician Sarah McLachlan, Nettwerk Music Group‘s Dan Fraser and Terry McBride, and New York talent agent Marty Diamond. It took place during the summers of 1997 to 1999, and was revived in the summer of 2010. It consisted solely of female solo artists and female-led bands. In its initial three years, Lilith Fair raised over $10 million for charity.

It was incredible to hear the stories from the artists directly, and in creating the sound – I created hundreds of pieces from artists such as: Sheryl Crowe, Suzanne Vega, Lisa Loeb, Joan Osbourne, Amy Ray, Colbie Caillat and countless others.

These are all artists I have listened to and still listen to – and to hear how they persavered and broke the stigma was very educational and informative. It has given me a new found respect for these women.

My album, Popcore Vol. 16 is now available from Audiosweets – it’s filled with starters, promos, sound design, artist intros and so much more.
